You could say its as cheap as air. (grins stupidly) Taking apart or removing parts of the laptop require certain size screw drivers and they are quite small. I suggest you run to the hardware store right now and buy some very small screwdrivers. Watch sized screwdrivers are too small so go about 4-5 times larger screwdrivers than what a watch requires. Removing the screen panel is easy but there are wires connected to the screen, usually underneath the keyboard.
Whether its as simple as cleaning or removing the cooling fan or disassembling every single piece.
Remove and replace the laptop screen
Get to the backlight
remove or replace the video card or cable
remove laptop inverter or replace it
remove or replace the motherboard
remove the cpu and replace it
clean, remove or replace the heatsink
remove the wireless card
remove and replace the ram
remove the keyboard
replace processor
remove dvd and cd drive
even just removing the top and bottom cover
make general laptop repairs and upgrade
even replace the laptops hinges
