AVG Antivirus Free Edition 7.5 Review

One of the virus scanners i use is avg's free antivirus 7.5 software. Thats why im very happy to review this free product. I find it a great asset to my pc's security and have a lot of trust and respect for grisoft (the creators of avg)

For a free antivirus system, avg 7.5 free edition does the job fine for me. However i also run pc tools threatfire at the same time for added security.

The antivirus is low on resources and fast to respond to threats, treating them in an automatic threat eliminating way if your not at the pc at the time to respond to the threat that's been found. The updates are usually daily and take only a few moments most times. The update system for avg free 7.5 is automatic hence the name automatic update.

The interface is somewhat easy to use for most users, especially the ones familiar with antivirus terms and settings.

Avg 7.5 free antivirus includes the following:

Virus vault (quarantine)
Email scanner
on access scanning (when a file is accessed intentionally or unintentionally)
Right click scanning (integrated into windows explorer)

Grisoft also offers a paid version of their antivirus software, which is more efficient. They also offer a all in one solution called avg internet security. We will keep writing reviews on avg forever as we love it.
