is a great site to learn about the happenings and what's hot about tv and the stations.

What i absolutely love is websites dedicated to the old classic archives of tv promos or network idents as otherwise known. These idents of a television network refer to the unique styled promotional advertisement stations use. These sometimes consist of the stars of the tv shows acting in a brief promo vid of the stations selected theme. Sometimes channel ten or southern cross ten as otherwise know will use the seasons. Summer proves to be a popular theme for southern cross 10 and usually results in outdoors and beach type promos for the 10 network.

My personal favourites consist of the following:

Southern cross ten (channel 10)

• Sunshine day theme used many years ago featuring the song from Glaubitz & Roc
• Magic carpet ride theme track featured by yet unknown because of the vast number of tracks by different artists with the same name.

This has been tricky to hunt down seeing that the authorities seem to have a problem with websites offering a small short sample of a song.

Prime (sever or channel 7)

• Through the streets of your town promo

When the promo was on years ago i made an effort to get a hard copy of the promo on video. This is one of my absolute favourites and once again being a short and extended version as well.

There are a select few websites out there that offer Australian tv network idents (promos). I would be thrilled to offer them to you but at risk of a legal suite im going to decline unless channel prime, win tv and channel 10 accept my proposal of putting them on our website because this is a piece of history in its self.
