Well its been here for a while
now.
Windows live messenger for cell
phones works on any java based mobile phone supporting java (nearly all do).
It saves on sms charges seeing
that you can send IM messages from msn live mobile messenger for almost nothing
at all. Windows mobile IM is totally free so don't confuse that but most cell
phone plans charge for data being transmitted back and forwards.
How much is this.
Well its usually only a few cents
for using windows live mobile messenger for a few minutes. (dependant on phone
plan data charges). You need to take into account that because its like using
the internet on your phone that data is being transmitted back and forwards
(only very small amounts). So unless you have a couple of thousand a month cap,
i wouldn't leave it on all day everyday.
We are seeing more and more
mobile phone applications springing up around the world such as windows live
messenger for mobile phones and popular web browsers such as opera to name a
few.
A lot of people take great pride
in creating freeware (free) applications for us to use. They are freely
distributable.
What people need to remember is
that such applications are designed for certain cell phone models. Eg. Windows
live mobile phone messenger has many different versions, some versions work on
some phones and others on other phones. What i mean is a version of windows live
may be designed for certain nokia and sony ericsson models, while separate
versions may be made for lg, motorola or ?????
So this is a rough example, in

So make sure if you own a nokia n73 and a versions for nokia n73 is listed you

Another example: Lets say you
have a sony ericsson k750i and you find a nice website offering free mobile
phone games for a nokia n70. Don't think of well i own a sony ericsson k750i so
they wont work because in all fact they may just work. The most common
incompatibility problem with mobile games both free mobile phone games and paid
mobile phone games is screen size. Meaning you may put a game on your cell phone
designed for a sony ericsson k800i when your phone is a sony ericsson w800i and
find that the game may not take up the full screen on your cell phone. Instead
there will be black spaces around the outside of the games and the games will be
very small and hard to play. There are pc applications out there to adjust the
screen size of games designed for other model cells. Just search the internet
for mobile phone game screen adjuster or mobile phone game converter.
So i think now ive won the prize
for longest simple example ever. lol.
