, very annoying indeed. Some people think its telstra some people think telstra only calls from private numbers. Well i received a call from a person claiming to be telstra several months ago and the number was not private.

I eventually answered the call after several missed calls from this number 0894244700.

The line was blank for a few seconds then they hung up. Interesting hay. Many people have had the same if not similar thing happen to them.

WIN's A Current Affair just had an article on phone scams. This isn't good because Australian authorities have no power over any scam from another country. I predict a massive surge of phone scams in the next several months. Things are going to get ugly.

Im adding this phone number to this category because many people believe its optus 0281143800 . Opus usually sends sms messages explaining their new plans available. Some people claim that 0281143800 even called on both mobile and home phone so i really dont know for sure.
