Dick smith (Dse) G2112 dvd player problems

Well today im going to tell you about the problems ive been having with my dse dvd player model number G2112.

Ive had the player for many months and ive got to say that im not happy with the quality of the product. Its laser doesn't appear to be strong enough to play dvds with minimal dust or scratches, some times even a completely clean dvd will play up is this dse dvd player. I don't know how wide spread this issue is, maybe its just mine im not sure.

The buttons on the unit its self are hard to press, i dont like this. Ive had other dvd players by other brands over the years, even a transonic dvd recorder from the warehouse. Let me explain that it wasnt my decision to buy the transonic and i will not buy one ever again because it died after a few years. In saying that it was a pretty good unit except one thing. When hooking up my digital box to the unit it suffered a delay from audio to video, which means there was about 1.5 seconds between the sound and pictures.

Back to the dse

I also had another exact same model of this dse G2112 dvd player that was dead on arrival (doa). I understand that these things just happen sometimes.

Ive got to tell you that my local dick smith electronics has excellent customer service and support. Im not saying anything bad about dse or the dvd G2112, just my personal experiences.

Maybe its some sort of region compatibility and would work better with some sort of unlock code?
