The 6131 is incredibly designed for value for money.

There is almost nothing this baby doesn't have

Just look at the design in black, white and silver. It also comes in other colors including pink

Its spring loaded to pop open upon pressing of the button, which along with everything else gives the phone a clean, simple and very smart look and operation.

The Nokia 6131 was built for resistance to everyday life

SMS, MMS, email (POP3/IMAP4) and Nokia’s proprietary Xpress audio messaging

Xpress audio messaging is only record and send voice

The POP3/IMAP4 email client is Java based and takes time to open up, but once open is very easy to configure for your own email service. The client comes preconfigured with the details of over a hundred email providers around the world, so there’s a good chance yours will be included. I was unable to test the email client any further due to a restriction on Vodafone that prevents the Internet access point from being used by prepaid subscribers.
 

Text entry is fast and problem-free – I never experienced any form of lag, even after entering hundreds of characters into the phone. T9 predictive text is standard and other than an English dictionary, there may be more languages included depending on the region you’re in (my Australian version had Vietnamese and Filipino in addition to English). The custom addition of words is also supported.

The 6131 is quad-band GSM compliant, boosted by GPRS and EDGE packet data standards for internet access. In English, this mean the 6131 will work on any GSM network around the world and will connect to the internet fairly quickly wherever the above two standards are supported

Outside the phone is the 1.4 inch lcd screen, for displaying things like battery and calls incoming and time

On the phones very top is the pop port and charger plug, doesn't matter because u don't charge while your out and about.

Still i would have liked the traditional placement on the base.

The pop port has an attached cover made of plastic, so it closes neat and no dust is getting in there

Camera

yes we have the camera button on the side of the phone to make it more like a camera....YES

1.3MP is pretty low if your an enthusiast for photos, but if your just wanting to have some happy snaps of

your friends then it

 will do the job just fine.

Sound

according to sources from google the 6131 supports 64 polyphonic cords (voices) so look forward to great sounding midis (polys)

Display

a 2.2 inch active matrix TFT LCD, with a size of 240 by 320 pixels and more than 16 million colours DAMN (VERY GOOD INDEED)

(As you can see the interface througoutnthe nokia series recently is the same.Proberly because its good and it works)

(This screen is so bright, its great. Saying that it must pull some juice from the battery)

PROBLEMS

Ok a few minors but nothing much to frown at

the memory card is in the back under the cover

(bit of a pain) Internal memory is only 11mb

(buy a microSD card)
